songs of the day: "Snail Shell" and "i Should be Allowed to Think" by TMBG.

Wow! when i get a soapbox going, it looks a lot longer once it's posted! sorry 'bout that.

Today, i am feeling pretty low. i have 30 days to find a job, and i am not feeling very optomistic today. I won't assault you with the details. Sometimes i go along in life feeling like i am doing just as well as anyone can expect, and then something happens and i suddenly feel like everyone is laughing at me because i have such a preposterously misguided opinion of myself and it is obvious to everyone but me. I hope you have no idea what i mean.

At times like these, i tend to go back to the basic elements. For me, that means going somewhere, anywhere or nowhere in my car with the stereo turned up as loud as i can stand it and singing just as loud. It really helps if the music involved has a little angst to it too, but my only requirement is that i already know all the words and can't help but car-dance, no matter how stupid i look while doing it. That's what i did yesterday. Today, i am cutting the heart and soul out of my website and catching up on listening to my TMBG podcasts. When i am done i think i will listen to the rain, watch M*A*S*H on tivo and do some knitting. it's out of control, i know. :)

ON a lighter note, Jeremy is in Nashville. He went to a thing on Monday where aspiring musicians perform and the audience is full of other musicians all trying to work their connections. The first person he met is the former bass player for Stryper. (I hope i don't have to explain who Stryper is . . .) Needless to say, he's still riding the cloud of encouragement that the night was for him. He has a line on an apartment down there, and hopefully a "pay the bills" job is not far behind.

oh, i found at wal-mart a black knight Monty Python t-shirt. so i bought it. it makes me happy, even today. :D Hope all is well with you, faithful reader. my carpal tunnel is acting up so i have to stop typing now. Farewell until next time!
